Toyota Avalon Service & Repair Manual: Steering Angle Sensor (C1A47)

DESCRIPTION

The forward recognition camera receives steering angle information from the steering sensor. If the forward recognition camera detects a steering sensor malfunction, DTC C1A47 is stored.

2 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG), a signal from the steering sensor indicating that there is a steering sensor malfunction is detected by the forward recognition camera for 5 seconds or more.

NOTICE:

The lane departure alert system (w/ steering control) uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system. Refer to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting.

HINT:

If DTC C1A47 is output by the lane departure alert system (w/ steering control), perform troubleshooting for the electronically controlled brake system.
