Toyota Avalon (XX50) 2019-2022 Service & Repair Manual: Indicator Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The forward recognition camera sends indicator illumination request signals to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE

1.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: System Select / Can Bus Check.

All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed

None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed

CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

(e) Check DTCs.

(f) Turn the power switch off.

Result

Proceed to

No DTCs are output.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
