DESCRIPTION The airbag ECU assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2). When the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) detects improper installation of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) or an abnormality in the difference between the yaw rate sensor value and the control value estimated based on the acceleration sensor, steering angle sensor and speed sensor signals, DTC C1436 is stored.
HINT: DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met. CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT NOTICE: After replacing or reinstalling the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly), perform yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration after clearing previously calibrated data. PROCEDURE
(a) Select the Data List on the Techstream. Click here
(b) Check the yaw rate sensor output value displayed on the Techstream.
(a) Turn the power switch off. (b) Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly. Click here OK: The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is tightened to the specified torque. The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is not tilted.
