Toyota Avalon Service & Repair Manual: Vehicle Speed Tolerance Malfunction (C1AA2)

DESCRIPTION

The forward recognition camera receives vehicle speed tolerance signals from the combination meter assembly. If the combination meter assembly detects a vehicle speed tolerance malfunction signal, it informs the forward recognition camera via CAN communication, and DTC C1AA2 is stored.

Vehicle Speed Tolerance Malfunction

2 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG), a signal from the combination meter assembly indicating an abnormal vehicle speed tolerance is detected by the forward recognition camera for 50 seconds or more.

NOTICE:

The lane departure alert system (w/ steering control) uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system. Refer to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting.

HINT:

If DTC C1AA2 is output by the lane departure alert system (w/ steering control), perform troubleshooting for the electronically controlled brake system.
