PRECAUTION

PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

  • After the engine switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  • When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the terminal is reconnected.

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:
    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
    • The radio and display receiver assembly may not operate normally.
  • When replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), be sure to replace it with a new one (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch).

PRECAUTION FOR AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM

(a) If any of the following parts are replaced, refer to Initialization in Repair Instruction.

  • *1: After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, SiriusXM radio ID registration is necessary (w/ SXM Function).
