INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect EV mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly)

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

G24-14 (S) - G24-16 (GND1)

EV mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) being pushed and held

Below 1 Ω

EV mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the EV mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

(b) Inspect NORMAL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly)

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

G24-13 (B) - G24-16 (GND1)

NORMAL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) being pushed and held

Below 1 Ω

NORMAL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the NORMAL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

(c) Inspect SPORT mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly)

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

G24-12 (P) - G24-16 (GND1)

SPORT mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) being pushed and held

Below 1 Ω

SPORT mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the SPORT mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).
